Tax rebate! I want a car to give my son to get him outa my wife
vehicle... he's repairing his truck, but slow slow slow, so he gets a
beater-mobile, preferably something that will take serious offroad
abuse.

looks are not a factor, he'll just tear up the exterior on rocks and
trees.
A/C, radio, interior (other than confy couch front seat perhaps) are
not a factor either.

Brakes, Transmission (lowest gears possible is better), tires (bigger
is better), stearing, shocks could help sell your crappy ol' 4x4.

If interested, I can put you in touch with a young Russian friend who
has a Bronco for sale. He tried playing off road and beat it up some.
It wouldn't start one day out on Airport Road. When I checked it there,
it wasn't getting fire. I suspected the ignition module because I could
trip the coil to fire, but it wouldn't on it's own.

He recently had it towed home. He told me last night that someone got
it to hit a few times with starting fluid, indicating a fuel delivery
problem. Other than some little something preventing it from starting
up, it's ready to go. He wants to get rid of it. (He isn't the
slightest bit interested in mechanicing.) I suspect that 4 or 5 hundred
(a scrap price) would take it. You could have it running in a few
hours.

Let me know.
