I'm clearing out a room and there's no where else in the house to put
this entertainment center, which is a shame for me but good for you.
Measures approximately 42" wide by 59" high by 19.5" deep. Features
two, side-by-side shelves at top, storage with door to right of TV
section, another small storage bit with door below, a pull-out shelf,
and a final fixed shelf (see photo at
Loading Image...). The section
designed for the television is approximately 28" wide by 25.5" high by
19" deep.

For reasons I don't understand, there was no way to pass cords through
from the TV area to the pre-made hole through the back, which is
behind the pull-out shelf. So I drilled one myself which might not be
pretty, but will be concealed by the TV. Likewise, there's a small
hole in the backing that will also be hidden when a TV is in place.

As I learned when I drilled the hole, this unit is NOT particle board,
but solid wood. Even the thin backing is some form of wood and not
the cardboard found in cheaper units. A real bargain at $50. I have
no way to deliver this unit, so you'll have to arrange to pick it up.
My house is in NW Huntsville, convenient to Research Park and Gate 9.

What would the center opening be if one removed the cabinet on the
right?

If you take out the divider and the piece the door hinges are attached
to, about 40". FTR, I'm uncertain how the divider is attached and
have no idea how to cleanly remove it, but I assume you must since you
asked. I've taken another photo:

behind the door is adjustable, meaning it's just sitting on four pegs
and easily removed.

FYI, upon further examination, I think (at least some of) it may be
made of plywood. Still a step up from particle board, though.
